 THE ESSENCE OF DIWALI

‘DEEPAVALI’ Or 'DIWALI' the Festival of lights is celebrated to mark the cherished return of Lord Ram his beloved wife Goddess Sita and his dear brother Lord Laxman after 14 years in exile.

The Festival throws light on how after conquering Evil one’s life is illuminated by the lights of Joy, Peace and Prosperity.

It is indeed the celebration of  victory of pure and good over malign and evil. Thus it points towards the Fact that how our lives too can become a celebration when we resist the evil in us, persist in our efforts and let the goodness in us blossom and take charge of us.

Followed by Dussehra, Deepavali which is celebrated with great warmth melts away all the differences between individuals and brings friends and families together for an exotic experience. Wheather it is cleaning the houses, offices and every component of infrastructure, prayers being offered to the divine, festive clothes being worn, Gifts and Blessings exchanged, Sweets made in every home, Crackers set off, new Business Account books started all these just to express the ecstasy of the celebration to replace the bad with the good and the wrong with the right.

People light earthenware light lamps (Diyas) and place them around their homes, temples and workplaces to free these places from negative energies and bring in freshness and prosperity. Wheather it is a child an Adult or a senior citizen all enjoy the crackers the sweets and all the rituals in the most enthusiastic and lively manner possible.
